4 hour single skill class on fire building.
You will:
- Learn the reciepe for fire
- Learn about various fire lays
- Ignite a fire with Steel Wool
- Ignite a fire with Ferrocerium Rod
- Ignite a fire with Flint and Steel
- Start a single stick fire
- Learn how to start a wet wood fire
- Learn how to split a log with just a knife
- Learn knife safety
- Discuss 4 key principles of leadership
All tools and materials will be provided for the class. You can show up empty handed, but if you have any fire starting gear you'd like to use-bring it.
The location charges a $5 entry fee at the gatehouse. They only accept cash or check. NO CARDS. Please plan accordingly and consider car pooling.
Dads: If you have sons over 6-years-old you can bring them along with you for a Saturday with dad and other men. Just remember, there will be lots of knives and fire. You'll still need to be dad. They won't be issued gear and tools, but can participate along side you as much as you'd like, you'll be sharing your tools and time with them.
